I know exactly what a few of you are thinking...

Holy crap! An Update! And wth? A landscape, since when does she do landscapes? I didnt even know she could do landscapes...

Yeah, I know. I haven't updated in a while. I've been busy. But I've brought you a goodie, a little something to tide everyone over for a while...

Originally, I was going to do a Halloween pic, something featuring one of my characters in a spooky kinda background, but so far, it hasn't panned out.

Ahem, however, I scanned in a drawing and proceeded to work on it, only to get sidetracked (Go figure). This was actually part of the background, but I decided to throw out the original idea and just work on this. And I am very pleased with the turnout.

Yes, it's sketchy, but I've never done anything of this nature before. If any of the other pictures in my gallery are any indication, it is known that I dont do backgrounds. At all. Mostly because I'm lazy. But I was having fun tonight, and things were turning out very close to what I wanted. And I had very good inspiration. Alan Lee is an amazing artist, and his conceptual work for the Lord of the Rings movies is phenomenal. I especially love the way he renders landscapes.

Anyways, enough babbling. This was done 100 percent in photoshop, at 9" x 12" at 300 dpi. I think I may have been trying to kill my computer a little. Done in about 5-6 hours, with breaks. The color pallete was intentional, I wanted to play around, having the lighting cast from behind the trees, in sickly yellow greens, kinda to get an eerie feel to everything.

We have a bat set as one of our sets for avatars, people would love this. We also have woodland creatures besides bats, as well as dragons, cerberus, and many more. This is great work!
